Level Name: SIREN: The Lost World [Episode 2-Otherside]

This is my 2nd level in the seires so also check out the first one in my signature! I really hope those who play enjoy it! It's a dark, creepy, atmospheric shot at what is a horror level at it roots. Aimed to be a Single Player Experience.

New Stuff!:The level stucture has been eased for the more casual player. The puzzles aren't as cryptic as before but still require thinking. The new area (An Abandoned Amusement Park) also has structure variety so players won't get as lost as before. The amount of backtracking has also been drastically reduced!

New Stuff!: This levels tries to go back to the more "horror" roots. With plenty more scares while still retaining the dark atmosphere. The level is a continuation of part 1. (Even chapters and odd chapters are different characters.) Also more story has been implemented. Story on the world and the characters. The level structure also been slightly more vertical than before.

omg omg omg omg!!! Big fan! I love your levels, they give me so much inspiration! Might want to add a bit more creeepy, there was only 1 creepy part that scared the living soul out of me in Lost World 2. Hence the big reaper thingy with the sharp claws and gassy body, oh my! BTW, welcome to our wonderful forum

Thank you for the epicness sig chucky!

These are some great horror levels. I remember that I found out about them thanks to Defmunky's promo at the level 'Death race'. I prefer the first part rather than the second one. The first part was creepy, LONG and it made me use my mind a lot. The second one was quite simple, but it had better visuals than the first. Maybe you would combine the visuals with the creepiness in a third part? It would be great!

I Challenge you to a battle at THE FANTASY COLISEUM!!!.

I would like to give you some feedback on the first part of your Siren level, so the gameplay gets even better!

Well, there is a thing that bothered me in the level, since it made me restart a couple of times.... Its the elevator. If you fall from the elevator or die, you can't access the floors anymore. My suggestion is that you simply put a life gong inside the elevator (any amount of lives is ok). There is also a hole above the elevator that can be entered if people swing trough the lights. I guess that's where the elevator engineering is (since there are no prices in there)? It would be fun if you put a secret or something in there.

Another problem in the level is the part where you jump in a hole and there are some boxes to go back up. Well, some people think that there is no way getting back up once they fall due to the camera angle. My opinion is that you make some of the boxes bigger, to make the hole more reachable.

I also managed to grab the light bulb (key item) by pressing R1 below the cage where it is being held. Is this how it is supposed to happen?

If I'm not wrong, there are a couple of censored words in the speech bubbles. this happens to me a lot even of there are no offensive words. Just change the words a little, republish and checkout if the censor is gone.

Well, thats it. The rest of the level is perfect. I hope these tips help you to make a great update!

P.S: You can ask me for any help and I will gladly help you ( specially with the elevator).

Thanks for the feedback! Maybe someday I'll return to properly spruce up the level. Until then the Series will keep evolving! And I've tried my best to keep a nice balance between the horror and the puzzles in Episode 3. Hope everyone likes it!

Hey, I've only played the third Siren level so far, but it was AMAZING. You got the atomsphere just right, and the lighting(on my tv, at least)was perfect. It was just dimly lit, but you could always see things and other stuff. The part where hands came out of the ground gave me a jolt. The sound effects(especially the one in the background)were perfect. I liked how when you left(at the scoreboard) you are in a hurricane, and the notes were really neat. The ladder thing was cool, thats the first time I've seen something like that done.

There were some things that could have been better though(as is the case with any level). First off, the puzzle on the second mission gets stuck sometimes, I felt that backtracking to the toolbox was a bit too far back(maybe put it after the bridge), and the lady that spawns was kind of an unfair death, as it is completely dark and she spawns right in front of you. Maybe one extra spawn, that would have been nice.

Overall, it was a beautifully made level, GREAT job.5 stars.

I reviewed episode one a LONG time ago, ya can read it here

Oh yeah only the first picture on the review is right, something went wonky over time and the second picture got changed to some random picture of another level {though with the caption its pretty hysterical and strange...) and the last picture just does not work anymore heh.
