They would keep it as close as possible with controls. But the directional buttons might be the selecting and crap like that.

Sorry took so long, still recovering...
The pod is a LOT different. It's like you see it from a distance, you cannot "go inside" it really. On the side of the pod you can see a "totem pole" sort of with, I believe 4 sections. One was for costumes and if you clicked on it , it took you to a small square box with a big red button on the side to exit costume edit mode. I did not see create mode at all, not sure if it was deactivated or just not unlocked or what. I wanted to let other people het a chance to play.
Hope this helps.

No it looks like a pod from a distance and instead of a window in the side, there is the 'totem pole' layout of icons on the side of it. (wish I woulda shot video of it. I meant to but forgot in all the craziness)
From what I remember, once you enter the costume section, there is a tiny room you can move around but it zooms in so you can see better. The costume Changing is basically the same. Menus set up the same.

It's funny, I was at PAX this year as well. I hadn't realized that LBP for the PSP wasn't out yet, I played it first because all the PS3's were crowded.
Later that afternoon, and two bags of swag later, I managed to play it on the PS3. I'll have to tell you, there were two games at PAX that sold me on buying my first PS3, LBP and the new Ratchet and Clank.
Thankfully I waited a few days after getting home, and ended up with the GotY edition.
About the PSP version, I could only play the demo of it for about 5 minutes before I started getting a headache. I found the sackman too tiny on screen and really had to strain to see it, I couldn't imagine playing this for hours.
Anyway, PAX was an awesome show, I'll definitely be going back next year!
I'm not sure, but maybe( i heard it was dark in there) becaue it was dark and you need to strain eyes to see it. I dunno, ill be getting it though anyway. It looks amazing for psp and shows it off as a amazing hardware and'll probably make developers take notice of psp and make more good games.
