I'm so sad...Those Community Levels look really cool. I wonder if people with the GOTY will be able to play with online people that don't have the GOTY copy...

b-coli here reporting on day 3 of PAX 2009 in Seattle, WA.
Wow what a big one, and techinically, the shortest. I arrived at 10 in the morning and breezed through the line and made my way over to the Sony booth to see what they had to offer in way of swag on the final day. I really wanted another M.A.G. shirt, I grabbed the red one yesterday and wanted a green one too. They were pretty neat
anyway, after that, I head straight over to LBP psp and shot a little bit of footage for ya I think you will like... You can see the little sack guy pose for you.



That is what you can do instead of swinging your arms to slap each other. Take it or leave it, I like it. Nice little addition for ways to express yourself are always welcome.

I also got a chance to shoot other people playing the "Bonus" levels from the LBP GOTY edition, so here are a few vids or random bonus levels There were some fun levels to play and watch other people try. Hope you enjoy the previews.











Remember there are 18 levels total... I am seriously thinking bout picking up the new edition... hmmmm what to do , what to do...

That is pretty much it for LBP, but I did finally get to play God of War III and learned a few things... #1... I SUCK at it... hahaha seriously, I am not good at it, but it looked so pretty on those LCD's it made me want to keep playing it to see what was coming up next. My poor skills are prolly from the fact I never played the first two, I only watched friends play them, but I was talking to some people in line while waiting to play GoWIII and they were saying something bout GoW 1&2 being re-done for the ps3 and released sometime in the future, so I think I will have to try them all if I can get my hands on them. Here is some more God of War III footage I shot.





I have more videos uploaded on youtube It was really cool to just sit there and watch people play it for the 45 minutes it took to wait in line to play myself. It was worth it Kinda like waiting in line to ride that "one rollercoaster'. The excitement just builds as you watch others experience the rush, but the best part, the demo lasted 10 times the legnth of any rollercoaster

Next I have some footage of Ratchet and Clank Future, A Crack in Time. They had 3 systems playing this non stop all three days. Definately got a lot of attention even with all the attention GoWIII , Uncharted 2, M.A.G. , Heavy Rain, and LBP GOTY edition got. Hope you enjoy the footage





Next are some clips of Eye Pet, for use with the Eye Toy.
This is a neat little virtual pet where you can draw things on paper, show them to the camera and then they will be created as toys for the little pet in the game




That little guy is cute, I saw him jumping over peoples hands as they waved them over the table. They even bumped him from behind and scared him so he jumped like a cat , straight up in the air once. It was neat to watch people interact with him, some didn't know what to think... haha

So that wraps it up for day 3 Video's I have.
They also had demo's of Gran Tourismo for PSP, which I heard actually has Jay Leno do the voice overs(too loud in there to hear anything). They also had Socom, Motorstorm, Ratchet and Clank along with LBP on the PSP to try out, but as you could tell by my first post about PAX. It is very hard to get good footage of a PSP in the dark.

I got to pick up some cool t-shirts, stickers, games...etc at PAX this year, not to mention all the cool games.
Spent a lot of time waiting in line to get free stuff or play games, but it was all worth it to be able to play all these "soon to come out" games
Definately worth the price of admission Would recommend going to anyone in the Boston Area in 2010 when they Start it over on the East coast too http://www.paxsite.com/paxeast/

I actually asked about this yesterday and was supposed to find out today, but forgot to ask to see what the official word was. (honestly, I don't see why you couldn't, you can on the MGS levels and Moster kit levels...)


Alright sackheads, it's getting pretty late and I need LOTS of rest after these last three days, I think my knees might kill me in my sleep for doing all this walking to them

Well, it was fun, and I had a blast keeping you up to date daily on what Was going on round the Sony booth at PAX this year. Can't wait for next year already, at least by then I think my legs will be well rested
