This is a short one.
First Impressions
As 2 hearts (one being mine, to locate the level easier) wasn't very impressive, I was feeling, oh here we go again But I have to say, I was wrong. Although being an intro level, It should be a level that showcases the technical skills of the creator, in order for you to come back for part I (which is out now, along with part II).
The description did have me wanting to find out how this post apocolyptic world would be portrayed, and so I was anxious to enter the level.
Although the badge seemed a bit plain, and not eye-catching.
First Impression - 7/10
Story
You are sitting in some sort of Limbo I imagine, before you descend to the ground. There are no people, just coloured stars that fill you in on whats going on.
The story is along these lines : Alien spaceship came to earth and a poisonous gas killed everyone.. except you. The level soon ends after that leaving you to find out more in Part I.
Story - 7/10 - Decent, not much to it really, interested to find out more.
Length
Very short. a bit too short in fairness. It may be an intro level, but this is so short I dont see why it couldn't have bee put in part I. Its about 2mins long.
Length - 4/10 - Too short
Playability
You will never play this again unless your reviewing it.Too short.
Replay Value - 2/10
Presentation
Right From entering I was dissapointed. You appear in a glass box room, with a blue dissolving floor. a group of stars, and an out of place switch. (a button switch may look better).
There is little materials used in this level. The entire ground is made of sponge, the original sponge material that is. Although with the lighting it does feel like a barren wasteland. Theres the odd wrecked car and broken building in the backround also.
For a small level it should have more detail not less... I know it may seem hard to put detail in a wasteland but when you come to the end and enter a weird room, its very plain and dull.
However walking through that room, there were cutscenes where the camera pans to a diffrent location. I liked how Prof_astro killed the humans with the smoke, it looked pretty cool. the spaceship was good, but a bit small for an invasion
Presentation- 5/10 - MORE DETAIL!!
Platforming
There is little platforming, there are patches of gas around the level, that you have to jump and swing over, but the level is so short it's hardly worth mentioning really.
Platforming - 6/10 - not enough, but thats down to the length
Lasting Appeal
I was told this was a short level before I entered, so I was expecting it to be mostly cutscenes and a bit of running. I was mostly correct. Im sure the part II and part I levels are more fun, but this level wouldn't really make me want to play any more. Theres just nothing impressive about it and so I'm not shown what can be achieved in the other parts.

Anyways, I have to say that your reviews are great, I actually plan on having an upcoming level, and I might be asking for a review later. I planned it to be four parts, but I seriously underestimated the thermo, so I might be able to fit this into two levels.
(I know your rule about only reviewing series if the first part/intro is to your liking, which I hope it will)
