Sweet, sounds like a cool level!I'll try it out today and get back to you with some feedback

One day, while playing LittleBigPlanet, I started thinking: Wouldn't it be cool if there was a world where all the materials formed individual kingdoms/countries/lands/whatever you want to call them? For example... Cardboard Island - A place made entirely out of cardboard. Even the people who live there are made out of cardboard.
So then I thought: Hmmm... This could be a cool level idea! And thus "Material World" was born. (Yeah, I know that's a wierd idea. I have those from time to time... Don't judge me.)
So in "Material World (Part 1)", you find yourself in the Land of Sponge. Naturally, everything is made of sponge. And I mean, everything! But it seems there's some trouble. The evil Glass Empire has invaded the peaceful Land of Sponge, and all of the baby spongelings have been kidnapped! And of course, being the only sack person nearby, it's up to you to save them!
There you have it. My little attempt at a story to back up "a level made of all spongy materials! Sweet!" (To quote my own thoughts...)
Being (Part 1), however, the spongelings aren't rescued by the end. They might have been, had I not seriously overestimated the amount of space on the thermometer. So far, the level hasn't been given particularly good ratings... I made it a tad too difficult. In fact, my brother seemed pretty annoyed by the difficulty. Good thing I put in infinite lives, huh? >_>
I would ask for a review of it, to see what I can improve on in the next 2 parts. (Yep, I'm planning 2 more. Hopefully I'll be able to stay interested that long.) But, when I looked at the review forum, I saw that one of the threads only allowed those who had posted at least 30 times. Better get posting!
Ok, wow, I type a lot, don't I?Well, for those of you who actually read this entire thing, I'd appreciate it if you gave my level a try and let me know what you think! And remember, this is my first level. Please be nice. (But at the same time, constructive criticism is always welcome!
)
Thanks!

Rather interesting stuff.
What's you PSN, so I can give you more feedback?

Great idea! I will try it out when I get online and I'll post some feedback. I wonder what land part 2 will be in?
are you kidding!!!!!thats the best idea i have seen about materials thats awesome idea are you thinking of making a saga like poos LBL levels?![]()

Okay, I played it a few hours ago and I must say it was an aesthetic masterpiece. All of the sponge materials flowed together really well and the gameplay was very challenging. It presented innovations that can't even be explained. Overall, very good level, can't wait for Part 2!

Really, really, really good level.
Nice innovative concept, although a bit hard on some parts.
For example, on the part where you emit some blocks with rotating flame balls, there should be another checkpoint, because when you die you have to go all over again.
Very nice, though. Hearted![]()

Wow, thanks a lot, everyone! And I was really only thinking of three levels, following the same story. And to answer a previous question:
Part 2 will go further into Mount Porosity. It'll include more Glass enemies, as that's their temporary hideout in the Land of Sponge. Lots of glass/sponge puzzles, including one I'm really excited about if I can get it to work. (I won't say what it is yet. That's a surprise.) And I'll be attempting my first boss at the end!
In Part 3, you'll be actually traveling to the Glass Empire, so expect LOTS of slippery floors! But I have an idea that will integrate some sponge grabbing puzzles as well. (My first mech-ish vehicle. Kinda hard to explain, you'll have to wait and see!) And of course, the final boss of the series (that I was originally planning, that is...), the evil Emperor Staind. (yes... Staind Glass. I'm a sucker for bad puns.) So yeah, that's the plan. And all this positive feedback is really getting me motivated! Thanks again, guys!
And if people still want more afterwards, I may end up continuing the series, who knows? Maybe a Floaty Town'll pop up at some point.
P.S. @Luggy: My PSN is the same as my name here. Evil_Death_Bee.![]()
