Competition suggestions and ideas

A create one:

All participants taking part send a theme with their name to the contest organiser, eg "Forest", "War"
All themes are then randomly distributed between the participants, and they have to stick to their own theme!

Eg, I want to participate, so I send Enoch a message saying
"I'm Pinchanzee and my theme is "Desert""
Then some others send:
"I'm foxeye and my theme is "Flying"
"I'm Luggy and my theme is "Under the sea"

Then all the participants would be put in a list, and the themes would be put into a hat, and picked at random by (Enoch).
So it might end up:

Pinchanzee's theme - Flying
Luggy's theme - Desert
Foxeye's theme - Under the Sea

It would be pretty cool if you made it an option to pick out your own theme (at random), then people might put forward brilliant themes in the hope they might get to use them!
(obviously the themes would have to be reasonable, not "shoe" or whatever)

OR

Developing on PFox's idea:

Do the same hat thing, but instead of a theme, you choose materials and tools, providing the participant would have to say at least 4 materials, 3 joints, etc.

eg, I'd send the message
"pinchanzee:
crate material, ___ sponge, brown glass, concrete
piston, rod, elastic
jetpack, emitter
prox switch, mag switch, 3 way switch

Checkpoints etc would be a given

How bout a competition in which you have to make the best level you can using only one of the three planes.

I would totally be up for that! But only if you can only let the player walk on 1 of three planes. You should be able to use the other 2 for decorations

we should do a super hero themed one. Every one make a super hero level but the catch is all the super heros and their worlds must be made up by the creator and original, nothing from movies or comic books. Would be awesome to see what people could come up with hehe.

The Super Fox Dynamic Duo?

im loving all the ideas here, a few stuck out to me though:
- original superhero level: gauranteed hilarious
- design your dream house: most original and very accessible
- limited tools/materials: most challenging
- random individual themes: most variety
- single plane level: oooo, tricky

i'd like to throw in the idea of a team created level (like we determine teams and the level will be worked on everyone) and a 2player co-op level (where you must have 2 people to complete it. pretty generic and unoriginal ideas, but i think they'd be fun.. and different.

but yes i have thought about the 2D one and it sounds fun

2D one for the win, it means that it will be harder to add moving stuff i guess. which means i have a better chance at doing well. i like it.
