To be clear that's not my bench, I just thought it was smexy and cool.

For maximum wires and knobs it's hard to beat a modular synth:

XD, oh man, the horror haha! I'm all ready getting crazy from all the wires in my studio, and I dont even own an modular synth like that.
Did play with the Korg ms10 a while ago, the old Skool one, where all signals were volt outputs! Sounds amazing tho, you can hear the electricity run thru the sounds with made it really heavy and boosty in the low /mid low ends.
