I've wanted to come back to a series I started not long after the release of lbp2 called The Calamitious Clock, especially after all the clock and gear stuff lbp3 gave us.  This new level will be sort of a reimagining of that series.  I dont plan on this being a series or story driven.  As of now, the player will be using the boost boots.  I am trying to make some interesting obstacles based around the theme.  This level will take a while but here is an early picture.

I would like some feedback on something...

 

I am thinking about making the final section of my level into a combo run style similar to the tower of whoop but I am afraid it will feel a bit disjointed from the rest of the level.  Should I make a separate level in that style or have it as the finale for this level?

Perhaps it would depend if there was a reason players to go through the tower of style section then it would be part of the overall level. By going through the tower of whoop part the players collect/find/unlock/race the clock, to then open/enter/release/free the whatever before the end of the level.

Spending a lot of time on making my island level, even spent time on it at night, but I'm pretty proud of how it turned out :D

Those pictures look great.  Might I add a suggestion?  Everything you've made looks realistic except for that palm tree in the first picture is just a sticker I think on a flat surface.  I would stick with the realistic scenery.

thanks for the suggestion, ill try to replace it with a whole new palm tree or maybe placing a flowers  there  :)

Last Spring I read the book IT.  I've decided to make a sewer level based on the book.  The level will mainly be a navigation level and not a platformer, meaning you are basically trying to find your way out.  There will be dead ends, switches to find and pull to open up new paths, etc. as well as some book references of course.  The level will not be ready by Halloween.  Also, you will be in mostly darkness and you will be equipped with the flashlight power up.

I set out to do some sci-fi or Halloween level. Mission not accomplished, but now I have this pilotable space ship. XD

I am almost finished with a new level.  The level is a platformer with a twist...you will be using the popit cursor.  Oh no, you say, not the popit cursor!  Well I didnt use the popit theme.  and I dont think there is another level out there like this one.  Here is a couple of pictures.

Are you saying we can use the popit cursor for getting through obstacles? Never seen a platformer level that uses a popit cursor around LBP, hope to see your level published, the idea got me hyped  :)

Yes, you use the popit cursor to move things in various ways.  The level is finished except for the fact that I need to make one final test run to make sure everything works like it should.
