I've seen in some levels I've played the camera shifting to another part of the set far away from the player, I need to do this but have no idea how it's done, how ever I try the camera still tries, and manages to my profound despair :) to keep the player in view. Can someone tell me how this is done?

here is one way:

if you have a door that is off screen that is going to be opened with a switch:

1. put a mouth near the door

2. tweak the settings on the mouth so that it uses a cutscene.

3. set the angle and zoom so that it is showing the door that will be opened.

4. OPTIONAL: place a sound effect in that you like(nearby the mouth is fine.) to draw even more attention to the action

5. connect the switch to the mouth and to the sound effect

Try this out and let me know if you have any trouble!

Umm another way i belice is to use a camera angle input then set the bar that says track player all the way down and that will do it but i prefer the mouth option above^:P

yes, the camera can be used for this to. Both have pros and cons.
main difference:
if you want the camera to shift only once use the mouth.
if you want the camera to look at a certain spot every time sackboy enters a certain area use the camera.

the camera will move to the sackperson when he/she goes offscreen.
Even if the track player is at 0, so the mouth is the best option if it's far away.
